Portsmouth Ferry Port

Brittany and P&O ferries sail from Portsmouth to many different destinations around the world the most frequent of which is to France. The Ferry Port is located next to the M275 and provides easy access to Portsmouth and beyond because of its close proximity to the motorway.

The above picture shows a Brittany Ferry and a P&O ferry moored at the Portsmouth Ferry port awaiting departure. Some good views of Portsmouth historic ships can be gained from on board while entering or leaving port.

Due to the closeness between England and France it is ideal as a stop over before travelling on to France or Spain or on the way back because Portsmouth has got lots to keep people entertained. It is even so close that day drippers from France could spend an enjoyable day here.

Ferries from Portsmouth sail to Le Harve and Cherbourg in France and many other destinations. You even get the choice of ferry companies to travel with.
